When Jeremy wants those shoes so badly I can relate to that.  I want a dog so badly.  But every time I ask my mom “Can we get a dog” she would say “It’s a big responsibility”.  Guess what I have wanted a dog ever since knew what a dog was!  But I still want a dog and I will never stop wanting a dog!

I think that the lesson in this book is that even if you get something that you really want but someone else wants it to then give it to the person who wanted it.  Always remember this kindness comes first!
